Mission

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

– Mark Twain

Most people have heard of the term “bucket list“, a list of things people wish to accomplish before they “kick the bucket”. I have developed my own list of goals or accomplishments I want to achieve in my life. This list is a collection of things that will challenge me, inspire me, and motivate me. The most important thing about this project is to include people in each activity I undertake as I attempt to cross an item off my list. As I complete each item, I will ask the person who has helped me accomplish a goal to provide me with a list of things they want to accomplish in their life, by asking them, “what is on your list?“. My hope is that this will inspire people to dream of the possibilities and go out and achieve them.

  1. This is an amazing mission. Thankyou for such an inspiring blog and an inspiring list (of what is really still just a selection of some of life’s experiences). You even inspired me to create my own list of 100 things. From an Aussie on other side of the world – thankyou for the inspiration – and I hope that you continue to live your dreams & make your way through those 100 things!

  2. Hi there, I just came across your blog; let me tell you, you can cross out # 30 for sure, I am absolutely inspired 🙂
I admire the fact that 43 and 59 made it to your list; you are one decent human being!
There are so many things I have always wanted to do but never did and the thought of having regrets later on in life is not sitting well with me. So I am starting to work on my list this minute. Somewhere in there I am thinking of adding “help the stranger who inspired me to start this list with his bucket list”

Kudos to you and best of luck (although you won’t need much luck, your Irish roots will do the trick!)

    Cheers from a fellow Canadian.

    • Thank you! Means a lot to hear things like this and for me to keep perspective of what I aim to do.

Good luck in creating and list, and I look forward to hearing what is on it (especially where “help the stranger who inspired me to start this list with his bucket list” 😉 )

  3. BROTHER!….I love your List and I love your Mission. THANK YOU for sharing!
Years ago, that Mark Twain quote (which happens to be my favorite quote of all time) actually motivated me to start Paragliding when I lived in the Dominican Republic!!! Blows my mind that you have that quote and an image of paragliding on the same page!
When you get to #29 on your list please let me know. I had an amazing time there cage diving for Great White Sharks, Surfing, Sand Boarding the Dunes, being chased by an elephant, riding an Ostrich, climbing Table Mountain, and jumping from the Word’s highest bungee bridge. The one thing you need to do… to really appreciate all you have in life is visit Nelson Mandela’s jail cell on Robben Island, Cape Town. It has the power to put things in perspective.
I do not list all of my adventures to impress you, but to IMPRESS UPON YOU how FUN you can make your life! Dude if I can do it…..SO CAN YOU.
Remember……The Greatest Risk in Life is not taking one!
Stay AWESOME my man and enjoy the ride.
    Cheers,
    IAN

  4. Hi Brady,

I can’t even believe I came across your wonderful blog! This is an absolutely amazing blog! I was looking for some Dr. Seuss quotes to post on my team Facebook page for motivation and that’s how I found your page! It’s really funny how things work out, just when I needed some inspiration/motivation it literally falls right in my lap. Your mission is so awesome in so many ways! Thank you so much for sharing this really is so GREAT and I will definitely be following your journey!
