We all make mistakes in life, it is a simple fact. What we choose to do with those experiences are what sets us apart. We can go on regretting the choices or actions we made and live our lives being hard on ourselves about it, or we can learn from those mistakes, move on, and be better prepared for the future. No one is perfect, we will all eventually make a mistake in our lifetime, and many of us will make mistakes on a daily basis, we are human after all. The most important thing we can do is recognize the mistake and not continue to repeat it. As Norman Vincent Peale said, “Repetition of the same thought or physical action develops into a habit which, repeated frequently enough, becomes an automatic reflex.” So, the next time you make a mistake, recognize what you have done, learn from it and find a way to not repeat it, and don’t be so hard on yourself, these things happen to the best of us.
