Everyone experiences those times where they wake up and think to themselves “I’m not going to make it today”, and yet they endure through the day and do in fact “make it”. Whether we are hung over, have a headache, are sick, or just plain lazy, we find a way to get our asses out of bed and do what we need to do. We prove that inner pessimist in us wrong time and time again. Whether it is that voice inside us, or our inner determination, we endure and we find a way to “make it”. So remember to take a minute and laugh at yourself every time you think you’re not going to make it.
On a side note, my friend Katie told me how Charles Bukowski is her favorite author and has recommended that I read some of his work. I haven’t read anything by him yet and am excited to discover his writing.
