I have been pretty good about sticking to a healthy diet for a while now, but the thing I have to start controlling are the cravings. I often put in long hours at work and at the end of a shift will crave sweets or salty snacks. Most days I can ignore the cravings, but the odd day I will cave. This is why I especially enjoy a cheat day each week. I don’t over-indulge in bad foods, but I allow myself to have some…and I often feel worse after eating them. The most important thing is to stay focused on the long-term goal and look at the benefits along the way.
